Since 2020,AKCOME has been conducting research and development of BIPV series products. Up to now, AKCOME has applied for 8 patents in the field of BIPV, 3 of which have been authorized.

For industrial and commercial roofs, AKCOME has designed a "PV module+ waterproof stent" BIPV product using conventional modules, which have been put into the market and have completed the delivery of two BIPV projects; POWERCHINA Jiangxi Yifeng Obama Ceramic 20MW project is under construction and is expected to achieve grid connection in mid-November. The company's BIPV business is in full swing, with several other BIPV projects in the process of being connected to the grid.

In addition, to meet diversified needs, AKCOME Research Institute R&D team, in conjunction with  partners, has conducted systematic research on coating glazes, encapsulation materials and battery coating technology to develop a range of black and multi-coloured BIPV products using heterojunction 210 half-sheet cells.

With the premise of ensuring the conversion efficiency of the products, we have made a major breakthrough in the appearance and long-term reliability of the products. The products developed are colorful, have good consistency in appearance, meet the needs of modern architectural aesthetics, and can be customized according to customer needs. The black and coloured BIPV products have passed multiple rigorous tests and are reliable with a warranty of over 30 years.

In terms of BIPV mounting system, AKCOME Metal BIPV R&D team has obtained a number of BIPV technology patents through continuous innovation and optimization, eventually forming a set of mature technology routes and laying down core competitive advantages. The structure of AKCOME BIPV stent takes the “W” guide trough as the main force-bearing member, and the whole system has undergone severe ballast testing, with each node passing the pull-out test. The front and back of the system can withstand 2400 Pa pressure, making a huge breakthrough in terms of tensile, shear and vibration resistance, and realizing 360°full-loop technical protection.

AKCOME BIPV mounting system has significant advantages in terms of weather resistance, durability, aesthetics and economy. It is estimated that the investment cost of AKCOME BIPV is 10%-20% lower than other similar products in the market, which can bring longer-term economic and environmental benefits.
